Rajesh Uppal (Member of Executive Board, Maruti Suzuki India limited)

Mr. Uppal has more than 30 years of rich and diverse experience at Maruti Suzuki.

He has the distinction of successfully establishing IT as a critical business function that orchestrates the business at Maruti. Surpassing the era of stream-lining and sustaining operational processes, he has also forayed into areas of business analytics, product & service innovation while improving efficiencies across the value chain.

He has also been instrumental in envisaging and setting up of L&D as a separate Business Vertical at Maruti. He is leading & driving the Leadership Development including the strategic Succession Planning.

He has many accolades like Global CIO, CIO Choice etc. He has also been accorded with Best CIO of the Year 2013-14 award.

Currently Mr. Uppal holds the following positions:

Co-chairman of the CIO committee of CII, Active member of SIAM IT Group a committee under SIAM (an Industrial body of all Indian Automotive manufacturers), Member of National board of Accreditation (NBA), an independent society to establish nationwide policy on technical & professional education accreditation, Executive member on the Senate board of NIT Srinagar and as part of MSIL’s skill development and CSR, Mr. Uppal is chairman of several MSIL adopted ITI’s.

Suparna Prasad Dev (Dy. Director – Ministry of Defence Government of India)

Ms Suparna Prasad Dev, is Dy Director in Ministry of Defence, Government of India . She belongs to the Armed Forces HQ Civil Service and is presently posted in the Army HQs, New Delhi.

Prior to her present assignment she has worked in Air HQs and other Inter Services organisations under GoI.

On the academics front she has done her B.Sc, LLB from Delhi Univ and MBA (Finance) from NIFM Faridabad.

She has more than 20 years of administrative experience particularly in the areas of establishment, legal, training and personnel management in the Government.

She is actively involved in initiatives in the social sector with a desire to make a positive change in the lives of the under privileged and the marginalized.

  • Appointed the new director of XISS Ranchi wef 15 June 2020.
  • Has rich academic background and is an author and editor of various books and papers of national and international concern.
  • Member of the core committee of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Women and Child Development.
  • As member of sub-committee of Ministry of minority affairs he sent recommendations for 12th Five Year Plan.
  • Participated in United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous issues in the UN headquarters in New York in 2010,2012 and 2014.
  • He worked as a team leader with Caritas Australia, Asia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh on the issue of development, peace and harmony.

P DWARKANATH (FORMER NON EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN GSK CX)

Senior HR veteran P Dwarakanath is the Non-Executive Chairman and Nominee Director of Horlicks Limited which runs under the global healthcare brand, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).

He is a senior industry leader and mentored many young HR professionals over the year. He worked with GSK for four decades and nurtured the workforce with his rich experience across functions. With over forty years of experience in Engineering, Chemical, Pharma and Consumer Goods industry in the core functional areas of Legal, Employee Relations, Management Development, Leadership Development and HR Management.

He retired as Director – Human Resource of GSK in the year 2006. Since his retirement, he has been a Non-Executive Director of the Company. During his tenure, GSK was recognized as one of the top five Best Employers in India for people related practices for several years. He was also a member of GSK’s International HR team.

He has been actively involved in various professional bodies such as the Treasurer of All India Management Association (AIMA) and has a successful stint as President of the National Human Resources Development Network and President of Delhi Management Association.

SURESH DUTT TRIPATHI ( FORMER-VP (HR) – TATA STEEL )

Suresh Dutt Tripathi holds the position of Vice President-Human Resource Management at Tata Steel Ltd.

He is also Past President-Delhi & NCR Chapter at National HRD Network.

In the past Mr. Tripathi held the position of Principal-Management Consultancy at Mascon Global Ltd. Where he was responsible for incubating new technology viz. Bioinformatics. Headed Human Resources for Perot Systems TSI (India) Pvt Ltd. and President-Human Resources at SRF Ltd., where he created a very people oriented culture. He joined as Steel Authority of India as management trainee.

Suresh Dutt Tripathi received a graduate degree from the University of Delhi and completed his masters in social work from University of Calcutta.

Dr Amar Eron Tigga

Dr. Amar Eron Tigga is a Professor in the area of Marketing at XISS, Ranchi. He is also the Chief Coordinator of Central Placement Cell at XISS. He also served as the Acting Director of XISS, Ranchi for 11 months.
He did his PGDM from IIM Calcutta and did his B.Tech. and PhD from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. He also completed a course on Advance Marketing Management from IIM Lucknow. His research areas include Brand Management, Customer Relationship and Sales Management. He teaches subjects in the area of Marketing namely, Brand Management, Sales Management, Customer Relationship Management, Services Marketing and B2B Marketing. Before joining XISS, Prof. Amar worked with Punjab National Bank as a Sr. Manager Marketing and worked for the bank’s business development and marketing of various products. He also served as a mining engineer in Pyrites, Phosphates and Chemicals Ltd, Dehradun. He has presented several research papers in national and international conferences and published articles in journals of repute.
He is attached to various corporate and development organizations for training and projects implementation. He is also an Independent Director for Ranchi Smart City Corporation Ltd. and a Member of Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Coal Management, Ranchi (A subsidiary of Coal India Ltd.).

Executive VP & CHRO Maruti Suzuki India Ltd

A highly result-oriented HR professional with over 30 years of enriched experience in varied industries ranging from Electronics, Diversified Machinery and Automobile Manufacturing. Mr. Salil is currently heading the HR function of India’s leading automobile manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited as their EVP (HR) & Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO).

He is a seasoned industry professional with insightful experience in areas of Industrial and Employee Relations, Organizational Design, Change Management, HR Strategy Planning, People Development and Gender Diversity & Inclusion.

Mr. Salil has been recognized as one of the 20 most impactful HR Leaders at the CHRO Vision & Innovation Summit. Under his leadership MSIL was recognized for ‘Employee Excellence’ in 2022 Economic Times Awards. Awarded the ‘Best Leader in Industrial Relations’ in India for three consecutive years, i.e. in 2017, 2018 and 2019. He received ‘Best in Advance Employee Engagement’ award at World HRD Congress in 2019 at Kuala Lumpur.

He is a board member in the advisory council of NHRDN for Delhi NCR. He has been recently appointed as board member of governing council of NIMI (National Instructional Media Institute). He is one of the Jury member for the National Awards for Vocational Training & Entrepreneurship Development by Ministry of Skill Development, Govt. of India. Mr. Salil is an alumnus of Xavier Institute of Social Service Ranchi (1990-1992) with postgraduate degree in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations & Human Resource Management.
